Responsibilities

  • Sales & Revenue Own and deliver monthly, quarterly and seasonal sales targets across tractors, implements and spare parts. Build and maintain a healthy enquiry pipeline through field visits, village-level activity, referrals, digital enquiries and walk-ins. Convert enquiries into orders by conducting product demonstrations, field trials and comparative product discussions. Plan sales activity around the crop calendar — Kharif, Rabi, tillage and harvest seasons — so stock and manpower are aligned with demand.
  • Customer Advisory Understand the customer's land holding, soil condition, crop pattern and tractor HP before recommending machinery. Explain product specifications, operating economics, warranty terms and expected returns in clear, local language. Guide customers through EMI and financing options and assist with applicable government farm-machinery subsidy schemes and documentation.
  • Team Leadership Lead, train and review a team of field sales executives and counter sales staff. Set individual targets, run daily/weekly reviews, and coach the team on product knowledge and closing technique. Ensure the showroom and display yard are presentable and product information is accurate and up to date.
  • OEM & Channel Coordination Act as the primary point of contact for OEM sales teams; participate in product training, schemes and joint promotional activity. Coordinate with sub-dealers, mechanics, financiers and local influencers to widen market reach. Share market feedback, competitor movement and demand trends with management and OEM partners.
  • Operations & Reporting Coordinate with service and spare parts teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, demonstration and after-sales support. Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries and collections; follow up on outstanding payments. Submit periodic sales reports, forecasts and stock requirements to management.
