Specifications

Blade / Tine Configuration
Spring-loaded tynes on two staggered bars, reversible shovel points

Product Overview

The Hazarix cultivator is a tractor-mounted secondary tillage implement built on a heavy box-section frame, with its tynes held down by coil springs rather than bolted rigid. When a tyne strikes a root, a buried stone or a hard pan, the spring lets it swing back and lift over the obstruction, then pulls it straight back into the ground behind it. On the stony and root-strewn ground found along field margins and newly opened land, that is the difference between carrying on and stopping to replace a bent shank. The tynes are staggered across two bars so trash passes between them instead of collecting on the frame.

Features

  • Coil-spring trip mechanism on each tyne
  • heavy box-section main frame
  • tynes staggered across two bars for trash clearance
  • reversible shovel points
  • adjustable tyne spacing along the bar
  • three-point linkage mounting.

Benefits

  • Trips over obstructions and resets without stopping the tractor, so no bent shanks and no time lost in stony ground
  • the springs absorb shock that a rigid frame would pass into the linkage
  • staggered layout stops residue bridging between tynes
  • reversible points double the life of the wearing parts.

Applications & Use Cases

Secondary tillage on stony, root-strewn or newly opened land; inter-culture weed control; seedbed finishing before sowing; working ground where a rigid cultivator would be at risk.
